Periphery 3000
Periphery 3000 - Strategic Platform for Networked Centers is a project of the Hartware MedienKunstVerein Dortmund in collaboration with the Croatian network Zagreb - Cultural Kapital of Europe 3000 and relations; the project investigates structures and cultural production beyond the centers in the Ruhr Region.
What's it all about? Inke Arns, artistic director of Hartware MedienKunstVerein Dortmund, has an introductory essay that explains the projects rationale. Find out about the deeply paradoxical »nature« of »periphery« and what it has to do with cultural production in a world that is as networked as it is in a state of transition.
The projects (find details here) will culminate in several events on this weekend in April (April 21-23, 2006).
